FLOOD FORCE HURRICANE ADVICE & SAFETY INFORMATION
During a hurricane or serious tropical storm it is important to know what to do to keep you and your family safe.

Basic Hurricane Safety Actions
  - Know if you live in an evacuation area. Know your home's vulnerability to storm surge, flooding and wind. Have a written plan based on this knowledge.
  - At the beginning of hurricane season (June 1st), check the supplies for your disaster supply kit, replace batteries and use food stocks on a rotating basis.
  - During hurricane season, monitor the tropics.
- Monitor NOAA Weather Radio. It is an excellent / official source for real-time weather information and warnings.
- If a storm threatens, heed the advice from local authorities. Evacuate if ordered. If no evacuation is ordered, remember to have plenty of water on hand and to fill your tub with water.
- Execute your family plan. Keep everyone together as the storm approaches.
- Don't forget to have a plan for your family pet.
- Secure the grounds outside your home or business, pick up all loose items, big and small, and bring them inside.
- Check your neighbors yard when they are away. If it is okay, secure them in your home, they may end up there anyway.
-
Remember to Evacuate if ordered. You and your family are no match for any Hurricane.
